You can also change the font size on any of the devices. This emulates how you use the actual device. With any of the devices, you can have the screen be portrait (tall and skinny) or landscape (short and fat). They handle paragraphs and paragraph indentations slightly differently from the other two types and, of course the iPad app shows a lot more on the screen then the iPhone app. The iOS devices both also use Times Roman font. The difference between the Fire and the Fire HD is the resolution and the Fire HD has a different display size. The Fire devices can show color (on the HD devices, it's really great color!) They use a Times Roman font. (On the Paperwhite, you can actually choose the default font that it uses, so you're not tied to courier.) This, of course, means more or less of your text will appear on any one page. Most will look fine, but if the color is the point of the picture, don't use it in a Kindle book.) The main difference between the three here is the size of the screen and the size of the initial font. That's important to know if you have images. The e-ink devices all use a Courier font and everything is black and white.
